Narrator’s pov

Cytheria drowned out every word that left Luna’s lips when she heard the word immortal.
She had a sort of hen-pecked look. Her shoulders hunched together like she was trying to disappear inside herself. Even her dark eyes seemed to be attempting to retreat inside her head. But it wasn’t for the reason Luna assumed
“Cytheria. Are you okay? Babe!?” Luna snapped
Cytheria shook her head to snap out of her trance, her eyes then locked with those familiar green ones and her nerves immediately went calm again
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have brought you here” Luna mumbled
“No no. I’m just shocked that.. I’m actually seeing something like this… It’s real.. It’s actually real.. We can be together Luna. We can actually be together” Cytheria whispered, her voice started to crack
Luna chuckled softly as she held her fingers fingers tighter, pulling their chests together and her chin on the girl’s head
“I’m not forcing you to take anything, I’m saying its worked before but there’s always a chance something goes wrong. It’s like life, it’s never a guaranteed thing. If you chose to drink it then I’ll make it for you, if you don’t chose it then that’s literally fine. I promise I’m not pressuring you into doing anything, it’s your decision and I’m here to support anything you chose” Luna mumbled and placed a kiss in the center of the girl’s head before stepping away
Her eyes were like a clear lake in a dark forest, if you looked closer at that lake you could see a round shallow crevice filled with completely transparent water. The water didn’t tug or ripple in the closed off space, though there was reason enough to.
Cytheria cupped the girl’s cheek, searching into those green eyes. In that already unnaturally beautiful scene were two identical and gigantic green koi fish – trapped in an unbreakable and frighteningly fast chase for each other’s long tails, fusing into a seamless circle. The only thing that got through their immortal war was a white light from the moon, a gracious beam to caress the bodies of the two. How it bounced off their scales making the water turn a paler green.
“I want this. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, every single day until we’re nothing but ash and dust. You’re my soulmate Luna and yes, I know we don’t believe in that shit but you came into my life and turned it all around. You were made for me and I was made for you. So yes, I want this. I want to be with you, forever. And I mean that” Cytheria whispered before placing her face into the crook of Luna’s neck
The girl sucked in a deep breath as Cytheria’s warm body wrapped around her torso, making her own space in her warmth. She let out a soft chuckle and held her even tighter
“I love you Cytheria” Luna mumbled
“And I love you Luna” The blonde said, exhaling deeply against the girl’s neck
“Do you want to help me with this?” Luna asked as Cytheria pulled away
“What do I have to do?”
“I need a chalice”
“A chalice, really?” Cytheria glared
“Listen, I didn’t bring a wine glass all the way to the forgotten part of the underworld. Sorry” Luna giggled
“Where would I find a chalice?” she asked
Luna’s hand reached out to the ground and a small tremble started again, Cytheria squealed and jumped back. A small crack emerged from the ground and up came another dirt podium but this one held a golden chalice as it it was a grown vein
Cytheria broke the golden cup from the podium and squealed when it retracted back into the ground
“Got it” Cytheria smiled
“Good job baby” Luna giggled as she took the cup
“What goes into this… You know.. Recipe?” Cytheria chuckled
“The water of a pure fountain, the gem of an ancient witch… And the blood of a half angel, half demon” Luna mumbled, Cytheria furrowed her brows and glanced at the girl
“Your… Your blood?” She asked
“I don’t see another half demon around here or do you have something to come clean about?” Luna smirked
“There’s no other half demon alive, is there?” Cytheria mumbled, Luna bit her lip nervously as she turned her attention back to the chalice
“No. There isn’t” She mumbled
Luna reached into her pocket, her fingers wrapped around a small canteen she had brought with her. It was small enough to fit in her pocket and had the perfect amount of liquid for the spell
She slowly unscrewed the top of the canteen, leaning it to the cu-
“Nuh uh!” Cytheria swatted the girl’s hand away
“No?” Luna asked confused
“I’m not drinking from that nasty ass cup, that shit has been down there for thousands of years. I don’t wanna catch some unknown disease” Cytheria playfully glared
“Babe!” Luna chuckled
“What? I’m being serious here” she giggled
“And where would I find water to clean this cup?”
“Use some of that fountain water” Cytheria snickered
“You need this for the spell!”
“I said use some, not all!”
“Fine! Oh my God!” Luna chuckled, using a small amount of water to wash the dirt and dust from the cup
“Better?” she asked as she handed the girl the chalice
“Perfect” Cytheria showed those perfect teeth, causing her fiancé to chuckle
“You’re something else, I swear”
Luna held the cup in her hand, pouring the clear liquid into the chalice. Water from a pure fountain showed the purity and transitioning to a new life, clear of the misery and negativity from the past.
Luna then hooked her fingers around her necklace, pulling it from under her shirt and revealing a small pendent that Cytheria had never seen before
“What’s that?” she asked
“A gem of an ancient witch, broken to dust and poised by that witch until its disolvable” Luna mumbled
“Oh.. Nathan?”
“She’s the only one of her kind, she’s an ancient witch and she’s been helping me with this gem”
“Well isn’t that sweet, your future sister in law helping you make positions to kill my former life” Cytheria grinned
“Oh my God” Luna chuckled
“Whhhaat I’m just saying, it’s interesting” Cytheria giggled
“Dumbass” Luna smiled as she unhooked the necklace from her neck
The girl held the pendant with both hands, slowly prying it open. Cytheria furrowed her brows when the pendant was split into two and revealed a glowing green substance inside which she assumed was the now broken gem
Luna leaned the pendant over the chalice and slowly poured the glowing green dust into the cup, a puff of green smoke flung from the cup the second the substances touched
“I swear if that shit kills me-”
“Cytheria!” Luna giggled
“Girl, it’s like you’re making some snow white poison shit in here” Cytheria snickered
“If I offer you an apple, it’s definitely not to kill you” Luna chuckled
“So. What if I just die instead? Won’t I be immortal and living in hell?” Cytheria asked
“Yes. But you can never leave here nor see earth ever again. You’ll lose your life, your free will and your soul belongs to my collection. Plus you’ll go through changes, horns will appear, your skin won’t be soft anymore, it’ll be almost the texture of leather to adjust with the heat of hell. And God knows how weird you’ll look with a tail” Luna chuckled
Cytheria slowly nodded as she turned her attention back towards the chalice
“The blood of an half angel, half demon” Luna mumbled before glancing to her wrist
“You’ll have to hurt yourself?” Cytheria asked
“Unless you plan on sticking a tube up my ass then draining the blood from my body, then yeah. I have to hurt myself” Luna chuckled
“Your sarcasm will make me hit you over the head with your dad’s tablet”
“You wouldn’t dare hurt me” Luna playfully glared, Cytheria chuckled softly
“Yeah you’re right” She smiled
“See. I told yo-” Luna was cut off me a light slap across the back of her head
“Don’t get too cocky sweetheart” Cytheria smirked
“Dumbass” Luna glared
“Idiot” Cytheria smiled
“Self centered barbie doll” Luna chuckled
“Demon” Cytheria glared
“That’s not even an insult, I can fly and you can’t” Luna smirked
“Oh… Dammit” Cytheria chuckled
Luna then turned to face her wrist once again, her eyes glancing down at her flat palm
Her eyes then flickered black as dark as coal once again, her veins glowing a bright shade of white, trailing down to every vein in her body that started to expose as white. Luna clenched her jaw today as she brought her other hand over and placed them flat together, hovering over the chalice
Her brows stitched together and her eyes shifted tightly, for ripping your own flesh apart wasn’t the same as using a blade or having a bruise
Her chest rose and fell heavily, Luna’s hands started to tremble slightly as the white glow became more intense.
Cytheria’s eyes widened as she watched the girl rub her hands together, shaking and breathing heavily to slice her skin with nothing but her own control
Cytheria placed an arm on the girl’s shoulder, Luna’s eyes immediately shot open and glanced at her girlfriend
Cytheria’s green eyes were so soft, glistening with love and admiration, something to appreciate what Luna was placing herself through to fill her request. Luna smiled sweetly and placed a soft kiss on the girl’s forehead before returning her attention back to the chalice below her
Warm blood gushed out of the exposed wound. Her palm dripped with the opened wounds free flowing surge of sticky blood.
As the flesh splits, mild crimson liquid pops from the barrier and seeped away from the wound. Thick beads crawling as brisk as it traveled etching red streaks that crisp with advancing time and dripping down into the golden chalice
Drop by drop it caused the green liquid to turn blood red, but after a few seconds it seemed to turned white.
The flowing red blood of Luna suddenly turned white as the glow in her veins became even brighter. Luna furrowed her brows but continued to allow her white blood to drip into the cup
“Woah” Cytheria mumbled
“Half angel, half demon sweetheart. Sure you wanna marry me?” Luna chuckled
“Oh I’m pretty sure” Cytheria smiled
Luna retracted her bleeding palm and brushed it on her jean before bringing her eyes to face them. Her pitch black eyes burned holes into her palm, watching her soft bleeding skin slowly heal itself
“What the- THAT’S FUCKING COOL” Cytheria pouted
“Too bad you’re just human” Luna smirked
“Not for long, Demon” Cytheria wiggled her brows
Luna chuckled and held the chalice, bringing it between her chest where Cytheria stood
“Are you sure about this Cytheria?” the girl asked
“I’ve never been more sure about something in my life” Cytheria said as she took the cup from the girl
There in her hands rested her future, the opportunity to spend every decade, every century with the love of her life. To watch the world evolve and see everyone she loves, pass away and be born into another lifetime.
There in her hands rested something so valuable, so rare. Billions would kill to get their hands on it but there she was, holding what could be a potential cure for many diseases, something that bended the stories of mankind’s assumptions.
There in her hates rested her faith, a faith which she was to decide.
To be mortal and live only in her decade, spend the rest of her short life with people she were attached to.
Or to choose forever with the girl she loved.
It was an easy choice.
Cytheria leaned the liquid to her lips and felt the heat attack her throat, burning its way down. She held no fear, no second thoughts. Her heart raced but her mind was at ease
For she knew, she would give her entire life to be with the girl she loved forever.
