— Sal’s POV —
Ugh, the smell of alcohol reeks and I should know! I mean come on being a werewolf is cool but our enhanced sense of smell sometimes takes over the top. I decided to get away from this so called teenage party and decided to get some fresh air. Air that doesn’t reek obviously.
I decided to walk to the cliff and when I got there, I gasp. Why you ask? Cause he was there. I was about to walk away when I felt someone grab my waist and pinned me against a tree. I didn’t even need to know who the hell it was. Why? Because the shocks going through my body says it all. I just looked at my shoes refusing to see his face but of course he grabbed my chin and pulled it up so that I had no choice but to look at him. When I looked in his eyes, there were filled with sadness and pain. My hand suddenly got a mind of it’s own cause it started to go up and cup his cheek.21
He leaned on it and smiled and said, “I’m sorry.” I just shrugged and said, “It’s OK Mason.” He shivered when I said his name and I smirked and said, “Are you sure your a werewolf?Cause if you are, then why did you shivered?” He growled playfully and put his nose to the crook of my neck to inhale my scent.
He mumbled, “I missed you Sal.” I suddenly remembered what happened yesterday night and I stepped out of his embrace and just looked away from him and walked near the cliff and sat with the flowers. He whimpered and said, “Sal please! Let me explain.” I just looked over my shoulder and nodded mutely. He walked over and sat next to me. I scooted so that we had a bit of distance between us. He looked sad but said, “What Brad said was true, I didn’t want to find my mate and yes I liked playing with other girls but…” He stopped so that I could take it all in and sighed and continued, “all that changed after I met you Sal. The moment I saw you here and heard you whimper, I just wanted to hold you in my arms, whisper soothing words to calm you down and comfort you.” He laughed and said, “I never thought that I would accept my mate. When I remembered I had a mate out there, I was horrified cause I knew I had to give up my ways.”13
I felt tears falling from my eyes and tried to hide behind my curtain of hair but then a breeze came and pushed my hair out of my face. I knew he could see the tears falling and came closer and put me in on his lap and drew circles on my back with his thumb while I put my head on his shoulder. Might as well make the moment last.2
“I wanted to reject my mate the moment I laid eyes on her but I couldn’t do it.” he said to me. I said to him softly,”Just do it Mason. It’ll save me the heartbreak.” He kissed my temple and whispered a small sorry and said to me the words that gave me a shock.37
“I, Mason Blake, accept Sally Williams as my mate.” I raised my head off his shoulder and said, “What?” The corner of his lips started to rise and he asked me, “What? Did you really think I would reject you Sal?” I nodded stiffly and he said, “I would never reject you Sal. I care about you too much to make you go through that.” He cup my cheek and asked me softly and hopefully, “Will you accept me as your mate Sal?”59
I got up from his lap and walked away from him and looked over my shoulder.4
“I, Sally Williams, accept Mason Black as my mate.” His smile got even bigger which made me smirked and then I ran. I heard him growl and said, “Mine.” I yelled at him, “Prove it!” And he did. He quickly caught up with me and pinned me against a tree and held me tightly.15
“I’ll show you your mine. Prepare to eat your words.” I was about to ask what he was gonna do but by then he already crashed his lips to mine hungrily. It has been so long since we last kissed even though we just kissed yesterday, I missed it. He pulled away from the kiss to give us a breather but he continued to kiss my jawline to my neck.7
Soon he found the spot where his mark would be and I moaned. I said while to him while taking breaths, “Just mark me already Mason.” He grinned and kissed my neck again and sinked his canines to my neck. At first it hurt but then all I felt was pleasure. Then he licked my mark so that the blood will stop coming out.55
Then he put his forehead on mine and said, “I told you you’re mine and you are now and forever.”2
I smiled and said, “As you are mine Mason.Forever.”7
After that, I said to him sadly, “I should go.” He growled and said, “We’re telling your family you found your mate already.” I nodded and said, “Come by Lilian’s house tomorrow and we’ll tell them together.” He grinned and said, “OK and by the way, did you hear that there is a prom tomorrow.” I knew there was but decided not to tell him that so I just shook my head and said, “No I didn’t. Why do you ask?”8
He rubbed his neck awkwardly and blushed and I asked him, “Are you blushing Mason?” He turned even redder while I chuckled and said, “Awww…. you look so cute when your blushing.” He blushed even more and then I asked him, “So why did you ask me about the prom?”2
He looked at me in the eyes and said nine words that shocked me,38
“Would you like to go to prom with me?”56
I just held a blank face and said, “No I wouldn’t like it.” He whimpered and said, “Why?! Please Sal! Please I promise tha-” I cut him off and grinned at him and said, “I would absolutely love it!”122
He looked shock but then, he grinned at me and crashed his lips to mine. I pulled away and said, “Meet me tomorrow at Lilian’s house ok?”2
He nodded. I said to him, “I really better go Mason. Kevin might be looking for me.” He looked at me sadly and I said to him, “We’ll see each other tomorrow and at prom.”
He smiled and let me go. I gave a final peck on the cheek and he pouted. “Why not on the lips?”I rolled my eyes at him, “You had enough for one night.” He growled while I just walked away from him. If I could be the luckiest girl in the world, I am right now cause I have the best mate ever. I took a look behind me and saw him still looking at me and I waved. He waved back.1
After that, I just went to find Lilian and the others and then went home and had pleasant dreams of Mason.
