— Lilian’s POV —
I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and checked to see what time it was. I turned to my white bedside table and looked at my clock. It read 8.17 am. I sat up lazily, yawned and stretched. I saw a shopping bag outside my closet and remembered to day was prom day. I groaned because this means that Hannah is going to make me wear heels. Not in this lifetime. I got off my bed and went to my bathroom and took a shower.12
I took out black shorts, a purple t-shirt and white converse. After that, I decided to cook everyone my favourite meal. Chocolate chip pancakes. You can never have too many pancakes. I quickly went downstairs and got the ingredients out of the cupboard and fridge and when I was about to pour some flour,something caught my eye. It was a note on the kitchen island.34
Curiosity got to me so I went to see what it contained. The letter said,
“Dear Lilian,
Me and your dad decided to have a 3 month holiday and your Aunt Darrell and Uncle John decided to join us so that means Kevin and Sally are going to stay with you and we put extra money in your wallet so you can buy food. Give my regards to both of them and try not to miss us too much! We love you sweetie. We’ll be home soon.128

This note must’ve been here for a few days cause when Kevin and Sally came I didn’t come across this note. I shrugged it off and decided to asked them later. After cooking, I put the pancakes on the middle of the dining table and helped myself to some. A chef’s gotta eat.14
It was around 10.30 when Kevin and Hannah decided to come downstairs. I wonder where she slept and her scent changed as well. Suddenly I got it and hit the table, “YOU GOT MARKED!”
Both Kevin and Hannah looked at me and wait wait wait…. did they just blush?! I crowed with laughter and said, “Oh My God! If you two are blushing then it must be true!” They blushed even more and I laughed even harder while clutching my sides and then I smelt Sally’s scent and said, “Hey Sally! Guess what? Kevin mar-” Wait a minute. *Sniff sniff.* Sally’s scent changed as well. I stared at Sally and asked her, “Sally,why is your scent different?” She look scared and then Hannah and Kevin stared narrowly at her and I continued, “You almost smell like m-” DINGDONG! I never finished my sentence cause the door bell went off and I said to her, “Your lucky you got saved by the bell. We’ll continue this later.” Then I went to open my front door and there stood on my door step was my Delta.11
Mason Black. What the hell is he doing here? And how did he know where I lived? I snapped out of my thoughts when he asked, “Are you going to let me in or do I have to go through a window to go inside?” I said in an uncertain tone, “Uh sure come in.” With that I opened my door wider and then he went to the kitchen where everyone was. Weird, how does he know where everyone is when I didn’t even tell or show him the way.
When we were in the kitchen, there was silence. I then caught the gaze between
Mason and Sally. Could they be-.
No way.
“You two are mates!” they both stopped staring at each other and looked at me.Then Sally asked quietly, “You knew?” I replied while smirking, “Yes because you two lovebirds were staring at each other like there was no one else in the room. Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS! And I suppose you marked her as well Mason?” He blushed. Whoa THE Mason Black just blushed. Man this just keeps getting better and better. I was about to say something when,
“YOU DID WHAT TO MY SISTER?! AND IF YOU’RE THINKING SHE’S GONNA BE MOVING IN WITH YOU, THEN YOU THOUGHT WRONG!!!!” Mason growled and was about to pounce on Kevin when Sally said, “Mason calm down.” She walked over to him and wrapped her arms around his waist and hugged him tightly. Mason sniffed the her hair trying to calm his wolf down. When he calmed down,she untangled herself from him and smiled encouragingly at him and then turned to Kevin and glared at him, “Kevin! You will not disrespect your Delta and my mate! I get your protective but you promised mom, dad and me!” He laughed bitterly and said, “Promised what?” Sally looked straight at him in the eye and said calmly, “That if and when my mate comes or yours, we will move in with them.” Kevin laughed and said, “You have no proof that I said any of that crap full of shit.”
Then Sally smirked and said while crossing her arms over chest, “Want a bet?” Kevin smirked back at her and said, “Yes I would. If you win, you get to move in with your mate with my blessing. But if you don’t, then say goodbye to him.”20
Sally stepped forward and said, “Deal. Everyone heard he said it right?” We all nodded and then Sally took out her phone and played us a recording, her smirk growing larger by the minute, “Kevin! Swear and promise that you will allow Sally to move in with her mate and not go against it.” That was Uncle John’s voice and then Kevin’s voice was next, “I promise!” Then Aunt Darrell said, “Got that all on recording sweetie.” Then Sally said, “Yep.”
That was the end of the recording and Sally put her phone back in her pocket and said to Kevin, “Believe I have proof now?” Kevin just stared at her and then after a few minutes he said, “I’m sorry Sal. I was just looking out for you, and yes you can move in with your mate.” Kevin smiled sincerely but his eyes had sadness in them. Sally had tears in her eyes and said to Mason, “Can I move in tomorrow? I want to spend one last time with my ape of a brother.” Mason smiled and said, “Yeah. I gotta go. But I’ll pick you up later, OK?” She nodded and pecked his lips and with that Mason left.12
I turned to Sally, “WHEN DID YOU GET MARKED?” She blushed and said, “Last night.” I squealed and went to hug her after that I pushed her at arms length and asked her suspiciously, “What did Mason mean by picking you up ‘later’?” Sally said quietly, “He’s taking me to prom.”
Me and Hannah squealed while Kevin covered his ears and groaned, “Ugh….. like you girls couldn’t get any louder.” We chuckled and then we spent the whole afternoon wondering what was gonna happen at prom and then we had an hour to go.15
Hannah said, “All right! Battle stations people! Time to show them how to work a dress!” We chuckled and went to my room cause Kevin wanted to changed as well.2
We all wore our dresses. Hannah had put a bit more make up but it wasn’t noticeable and wore beige stilettos. Sally wore light make up like me and wore black ballet flats.6
Now for the piece of my dress. I wore light make up, wore fishnet tights that will make me look badass and black combat boots with a black glove on my right hand that doesn’t cover my fingers. I swear I look like a badass with my outfit.203
After that, all of us, except Sally cause she went with Mason, went to my white beast and I drove. When we reached the woods where the prom was everyone stared at me. I smirked and thought,9
This is going to be a fun night.
The party is now in full swing and someone put a karaoke machine on the stage for fun. I might try that out later. Then I needed to get a breather and decided to walk where the pond was. I was about to reach there when I heard a voice say, “Abbott are you going to stop trying to break Lilian? Cause from what I’ve seen, you are clearly falling for her.” That was Brad’s voice. I couldn’t help but eavesdrop.
“Me?! Fall for Lilian?! Hah! Never in a million years! When I get even close to her, I’m gonna reject her and get some other girl to be my Luna.” I felt my eyes turned black and I punched a tree that was in front of me. This revealed I was listening to everything they said and Brad and Abbott looked at me with shock. My wolf was howling in pain.
I growled furiously. My eyes turning even blacker by the second if that was even possible, “Oh, so you are still cheating on me?! I’m gonna teach you a lesson that will make you regret that you ever did that! And no one can ever break me! Why you ask? Because when I was small, my dad told me to never cry except if losing someone that’s close and he said never. I MEAN NEVER TO CRY IN FRONT OF A GUY! BUT CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY ON THAT CATOGORY!” After I said all that, tears were falling from of my eyes. I turned to Brad and said to him softly, “Thanks Brad, for trying to make him changed his mind. “He smiled apologetically and I turned back to Abbott and glared at him, “I should’ve never given you another chance. I, Lilian Rodriguez, reject Abbott Davis as my mate and Alpha. Oh and Abbott, you are gonna get a surprise when you go back to the party cause I’ll show you that I will move on.”
