— Abbott’s POV —
Pain.
That’s what I felt when I saw her hurt in my arms. I breathed in a sigh of relief that she was still breathing but barely. I quickly brought her back to the pack house and brought her to the pack doctor.12

God. How long is this gonna take? I growled and rubbed my face in frustration as I stood up from my seat. Just when I was about to barge in the operation room, Dr. Michael came out. It felt like a weight was lifted of my shoulders when I heard she was going to be ok. I nodded at him and quickly went to her room. I went in quietly so as not to disturb her. She looked so pale and fragile. I whimpered at the thought of her not making it.
I pulled up a chair and put it next to her bed and held her cold hand. I still felt the tingles. Oh how I missed that feeling. I kissed her forehead after saying to her quietly,

— Lilian’s POV —
All I could see was darkness. In the distance, I heard a familiar voice asking me to come back but, the darkness was pulling me in and I felt happy but I knew I was missing something.
Then suddenly, I saw a white light. It was coming towards me and then the light began to make a figure. A familiar figure.24

I looked at my cousin and raged filled me. Before she even met that idiot, she was always happy. She always had laughing eyes but now, she looks so pale and depressed.

I was about to open my mouth when she started screaming. I quickly ran out of her room and ran to get her dad. I told him everything and both of us quickly went to her but, we were too late. The razor was cut straight into her wrist and it went straight to her vein.
I fell to my knees and and covered my face with my hands. Her dad looked completely heartbroken. When I looked up, I saw piece of white paper scrunched into a ball in her left hand. I pulled it out and read it. It said,
Dear family,
I’m sorry for leaving you but I just couldn’t take the pain he was giving me. I wanted to reject him so badly but I just couldn’t.
To mom and dad,

Tears of pain flooded my eyes when I remembered that day. “I should’ve been there sooner. If only I-” Cherry cut me off by saying, “You couldn’t do anything love and besides I want you to meet someone. Properly.”3
I looked up at her with tears in my eyes looking confused. Then I saw another white light coming. It took shape and then I gasp.
“Spencer.” I said.

I said, “Yes, you did deserve it but, I’m happy you noticed that Spencer.” I smiled at him and he grinned then Cherry said, “It’s time for us to go Lily. I’m sure we’ll meet each other soon in the future.”27
Then they went.
In the distance, I heard a beeping noise and groaned. I fluttered my eyes open only to see a white room. It hurts so much. I quickly scanned the room and noticed that I was in a hospital.
Then memories of what happened flashed before my eyes. Especially the part where I said I love you to Abbott. My cheeks flushed. I felt so cooped up so I went out of the bed slowly and went to the balcony with the IV pole since I have tubes in my arms.
When I reached outside, I saw a guy watching the sunset. He looked oddly familiar. I gasped and then he turned around.
His green eyes had tears in them and he ran to me. He hugged me tightly and said, “Oh my god! Lilian! I can’t believe your awake! I’ve missed you so much! Please don’t ever do that again!”
“I will make no such promises.” I said while hugging Abbott back. He chuckled. Then he pulled away and helped me walked near the railing to watch the sunset with him.
I asked him, “How long have I been out?” He replied, “Three weeks but it felt like years. I couldn’t stand seeing you so pale. It hurts me remembering what you did.”6
“I’m fine Abbott and besides it’s what warriors are supposed to do. Protect their pack and Alpha.” Then he said, “But you’re not a warrior anymore Lilian. You’re Luna. You’re my mate.”2
“I may be the Luna but I will always be a warrior at heart. I’m glad your ok Abbott.” He smiled and wrapped an arm around my waist. God how I missed this feeling.9
Then he asked, “Lilian?”

I sighed and told him about Cherry’s death. “I lost someone I cared for. I knew I was going to meet my mate but I really didn’t want to. I didn’t want to lose him like I lost Cherry so I hoped that he would reject me. After that, I
learned to not care if my mate rejected me.”
He sighed sadly and said, “I’m sorry for causing you so much pain love. Come on. Let’s get you back to bed.” I nodded.21
He tucked me in and was about to walk away but I took hold of his wrist and blurted, “Stay with me. Please?” He smiled and nodded.27
I moved so he could fit. Then he kissed my forehead and said something which shocked me.
“I love you Lilian.”1
I asked him, “You do?” He said, “Yes. You complete me. You make me go all slushy which has never happened to me. You fill up my heart and you’re always in my mind. If I so much as think of you, my heart beats like mad.”115
I grinned at him. I pecked his lips then I said, “I love you too Abbott.” Then both of us fell asleep. Probably the best sleep I’ve had in ages.
