Narrator’s pov
–
The balcony of the guest suit was wide enough to fit five cars, Cytheria’s hotel room was one of luxury, almost like royalty. It was the last night they would be spending in London
The bed was king-sized with pure white, Egyptian cotton sheets just like their room in Paris. A sixty-six-inch TV with video and DVD pasted to the wall, a sprawling leather sofa took over the living room with a glass table that changed different colours, and on the other side of the floor-to-ceiling windows was her own private terrace.
The bathroom was spotless as well as the power shower that had water sprouting out from every side of the wall. There was a bath big enough for a football team, and a Jacuzzi. Everything in marble and handcrafted tiles. The millionaire suite that Luna and Cytheria molded themselves into.
She made sure to give their friends different suites just like the one they had, everyone needed to enjoy the comfort of the hotel.
“Come here” Luna whispered as she pulled Cytheria in her direction
Cytheria smiled and placed her knees on either sides of her girlfriend’s waist, straddling her on the seat that was on the hotel balcony
Luna let out a breath as she brushed her fingers across Cytheria’s cheek, there was something about the way Cytheria looked under the stars that caused her heart to race
The night sky was the most beautiful art, alive with its raw energy, a song for the eyes. At times Luna felt as if she could feel it vibrating somehow. The night sky was something she was addicted to as well as the rain. Her heart and soul was connected to the sky and it’s ink black aurora.
The sky was whispering in a way the ears could not hear. It felt friendly when the world of people felt so devoid of love. She wanted to see it right, in three dimensions, see the sculpture of divine hands.
“You look beautiful” Luna whispered as her green eyes locked with Cytheria’s under the dim light of the balcony
“Thank you” the blonde giggled causing Luna’s heart to swell inside
Her arms rested on Cytheria’s lower back, sliding under the girl’s shirt and feeling her soft, smooth skin under her fingertips. The mixture of cold breeze passing through the air and the warm tips of Luna’s fingers caused goosebumps to crawl along her skin, making her inhale a sharp breath.
“Prom was depressing” Cytheria admitted, recalling that Luna asked her about what the past five years have been when they were on the Ferris wheel
“Really?” She asked
“You kidding me? I couldn’t go to prom with the person I wanted most” Cytheria pouted
Luna chuckled and placed a soft kiss on the girl’s shoulder before returning her gaze back towards Cytheria
“I spent the day crying in bed like a pathetic highschool girl in sappy movies” she rolled her eyes
“That’s cute-”
“My pain is cute?” Cytheria questioned
“I’m the devil, all pain is cute”
“Touche” Cytheria chuckled
“You may continue” Luna whispered and placed a kiss on her shoulder again
“Dreama and Cole came over and forced me to try on a bunch of dresses, I didn’t like them so they dragged me out the house to go dress shopping. After that, we got ice cream. To be honest, it actually helped a bit. They gave me a pep talk before dropping me home to get ready but I could tell they felt the pain too. Everyone’s connected to you in a way and it truly felt like you look a part of us when you disappeared” Cytheria mumbled
“Awww baby” Luna pouted
“It’s true, nothing ever felt the same after that Luna” Dreama said
Luna’s head snapped in the direction of the gay’s that were all sprawled across different chairs on the balcony, their hands gripped the beer bottles and brought it to their lips
“I didn’t feel like myself, especially since the person that took my soul left with it. Literally” Cole chuckled
“Took your what?”
“Don’t worry about it” Cole mumbled
“I’d never leave you guys, you’re my family. You’re special to me and you’ve made me into the perosn I am today. You’ve been there from the lowest to the highest points of my life and I can’t thank you guys enough for being there. You’re all a bunch of dumbasses that have no filter and do crazy shit but I love that about you guys. You’re all so different and you’re taking over this world day by day, you’re showing everyone that you don’t need to follow rules to be okay. Life is far more than being held behind a desk and going home to three kids after working for 8 hours everyday. I love you guys” Luna said
“This bitch gonna make me CRY”
“CRYING AIN’T FOR MEEE” Nathan sniffled
“Shut the fuck up!” Vernon hissed at the girl as she wiped the salty tears that were falling down her cheek
“Awww don’t cry” Luna chuckled
“I’m sorry, you’re just really sweet” Cole pouted
“Awww my wittle boy” Luna giggled as she glanced over to the boy
“Just continue your story, we’ll be over here. I think we’re actually gonna head back to our rooms now, it’s getting late and our flight leaves at 4am tomorrow” Cole said
The adults lifted onto their feet and brushed off themselves, collected the bottle of alcohol and wines that were scattered around. They made sure to clean up themselves and any mess they might have caused.
“Goodnight girls” the gays yelled in unison as they left the hotel room and headed back to their own
Luna chuckled and leaned her face into Cytheria’s chest while having the girl on her waist. The gold breeze of the night continued to grace their skins but their warm bodies together blocked any hint of coldness.
“Who’d you go to prom with?” Luna asked
“I-I actually didn’t go” Cytheria mumbled
“You WHAT?!” Luna hissed
“I’m sorryyy, I just.. I couldn’t do it” She whispered
“Why?”
“Because if I couldn’t go with you then I didn’t want to go with anyone else” the blonde said, her eyes glanced into Luna’s dark green orbs
“I’m not sure if that’s sweet or depressing” She chuckled
“Mostly depressing” Cytheria chuckled, her fingers found their way locked into Luna’s brown wavy hair
It felt surreal to the blonde, the have the girl she loved under her again. They’ve surely come a long way from being highschool sweethearts
Two naive teenagers… Well one teenager and a demon.
The blonde remembered what her life was like, being the head cheerleader and apparently running the school. She had everyone under her fingertips, she had everyone on their knees desperate for her attention, her time.
Then all of that changed when the devil’s daughter thought a ‘vacation’ meant ‘attending highschool’
She chuckled to herself just thinking about how clueless her girlfriend was. Cytheria remembered the first time she laid eyes on the girl. Her first thought was ‘beautiful’ but the confusion came right after.
The person she was, was then trampoled over and smashed to bits when she saw Luna’s smile for the first time.
Her heart raced like never before, she ran track everyday but never felt such a rush of adrenaline when she heard the girl laugh.
It was eating at her inside every single day that she saw the girl’s face, she tried so hard to push her out of her thoughts but failed miserably.
There was just something about Luna that made you wanted to open up and be real. Be yourself, she was safe to fall for and safe to trust. She was honest and sweet at points. Sure she was a massive flirt but that was just one of the nails in the coffin.
She fell in love with Luna because of her heart, the girl was always there. She was like a shadow of protection and understanding. It wouldn’t make sense to anyone except Cytheria.
She fell in love with the devil’s daughter and she didn’t give a fuck about anyone else.
Her dignity, her pride and ego was tossed out the window when she told the girl what she truly desired.
Her.
And so started their journey of chaos, love, sex, romance and evil mother in laws.
Their life wasn’t perfect, they knew that. It wasn’t normal either, but they made it work because they made each other work.
Without each other, they couldn’t survive.
It’s amazing how one person could just step into your life and change every single thing you’ve ever believed in, and now you can’t live without them.
