“Change your clothes.”Kyle ordered eyes black. I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
“I am dressed.”I said. He shook his head, looking at my shorts.
“Those shorts are too short.”
No, they aren’t.
“You can’t tell me what to do. You’re not my dad!”I scoffed. He glared at me and backed me up into the wall.
“Change them now, Madeline.”He said deadly. I narrowed my eyes at him. I was wearing denim shorts, a black hoodie and my black converses. I ducked under his arm and ran downstairs. I could hear his footsteps chasing after me. I spotted Mars in the kitchen eating a muffin and ran behind him.
“What are you doin-“
“Madeline! Change now!”Kyle entered the kitchen with an angry look. I tried to hide behind Mars but Kyle saw me. I yelped and ran behind his father, who was smiling.
“Help me.”I said. He turned around and gave me a wink. He turned back around and crossed his arms. Kyle was in front of him. They looked so alike. They were about the same height, Kyle being a centimeter taller.
“Now son, leave Madeline alone-“He sniffed the air. Kyle’s eyes widen and his cheeks turned pink as he scratched the back of his neck. Everyone looked at me. Mars wiggled his eyebrows.
“How was it?”He smirked. I gave him a confused look. What is he talking about? I smacked my forehead and covered my face with my hands. My face was flushed. I peaked through my fingers and saw Paul giving Kyle a pat on the back with a smiled. I groaned and dropped my hands.
“I thought you would wait a bit. She is still young.”Bella said to Kyle. He let out an awkward laugh.
“I knew he would get her in less than a year you owe me fifty.”Paul whispered to Mars. My jaw dropped.
“No way, old man!”Mars yelled. Bella eyed her husband and raised her hand. His eyes widen.
“Ow!”
“Now go on kids. I have to talk to Paul here.”She shooed us. Anger in her voice. We walked out of the kitchen. A loud smack echoed.
“No! Don’t leave! She’ll kill me!”
Another smack was heard.
“Woman! Stop with the violence!”
“I can’t believe you batted on them!You’re sleeping in a dog house tonight!”
Several smacks echoed through the house. We walked outside to Kyle’s car.
“Shotgun!”Mars shouted and ran to the car.
“No way!”

“How come she got to sit in the front?”Mars whined. Kyle smirked.
“Because I love her more than you.”
“Aww I love you too, baby.”I cooed and kissed his cheek. I heard Mars groan.
“Enough with the couple stuff!”
I gave Kyle a smirk, which he returned. He nodded.
“I love you so much, babe.”He kissed my nose.
“No I love you more.”
“No I do.”
“No I do.”
“No I do.”
“Stop it. You drive me crazy!” Mars groaned. I kissed Kyle’s cheek.
School was the same. Girls glared. Guys gave me sexually looks. Today there was surprisingly less of that. I’m still wondering how did Bella and Paul know about what happened last night. I walked to the forest on my free period and walked to the same place I saw Blue. I spotted him and walked over to him. I ran my hand through his fur. He sniffed and whimpered. I gave him a questioning look.
“What’s wrong, Blue?”I asked rubbing his fur. He shook his head. I rolled my eyes at him but dropped it. I found it a little weird that Blue was an actually person and I didn’t know what he looked like. After 15 minutes of comfortable silence, I broke it.
“Can you show me what you look like?”I begged. He looked unsure. I pouted and he gave me a wolfish grin, which was weird. He nodded his head and ran into the forest. I heard bone cracking and rustling. A tall guy came from behind the tree. I stared up at him;he was shirtless. He was about 6’3 and was fit. He had the same blue eyes and black hair. He looked like a model.
“Hi.”I said awkwardly. He chuckled at me.
“My name is Lorin.”He smiled down at me. His perfectly white teeth showed and his deep dimples popped out. I couldn’t help but grin at him.
“You’re not from this pack are you?”I tilted my head to the side. He shook his head.
“No, I’m the Alpha of the Dark Valley Pack.”He stated proudly. I nodded, impressed. I felt a strange connection to Lorin. I couldn’t explain it; it just felt so right. I felt disloyal to Kyle by thinking these things. Am I cheating in Kyle? I frowned.
“What’s wrong?”He asked concerned. I shook my head and smiled.
“Nothing.”I pushed the negative thoughts out of my mind.
“Let’s play 20 questions. I only have 40 minutes left.”

I got to know more about Lorin. He was honestly perfect. I smiled thinking about him. I played with the necklace he gave me, looking down. I wasn’t looking where I was going and bumped into someone.
“Sorry.”I didn’t look up.
“It’s okay, baby.”I looked up to see Kyle. My heart picked up. I felt nervous.
“Hey.”I breath out. He gave me a questioning look. I forced a smile. I continued playing with the necklace, feeling attracted to it.
“What is that?”He asked. I pushed the necklace in my shirt.
“Nothing.”
He pulled it out of my shirt and looked at it.
“It’s nothing.”I lied. It hurt me to lie to him. He nodded, a bit suspicious but smiled. At the end of the day, we went home. Kyle had to go to an important meeting with some members from a different pack. I sat down on the big kind sized bed, examining my necklace. There was a little latch and I pressed on it. It popped open and a picture was there. It was a picture of me and Lorin. The weird thing about it was that I don’t remember taking the picture.
