Sarah gasped. WHAT???Elly put her hands over her mouth. “Holy crap, Bent. Are you serious?” Bent smirked, thumping his fist against the wall beside him. “Yep. We should be there in about six minutes!” He shut the compartment door. Elly, looking slightly dazed, spun a dial on the table in front of her. The lights around them changed from white to pink. “Oh, goodness!” Elly exclaimed. She spun the dial again. The lights turned blue. Clapping her hands happily, Elly continued to spin the dial until the lights were now a soft violet. Sarah touched a number on the keypad in front of her. Gentle music came on around them. It sounded like a meditation track, intermixed with recordings of rain and chirping birds. “I think I’m dreaming,” Sarah confessed. She crossed her legs and jiggled her foot nervously. Elly tilted her seat back. She stretched out like a queen. “I’m enjoying this experience immensely,” she said. Kurl’s voice spoke to them from the speaker on the ceiling. “If you’re a teenage female hottie, now is the time to FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS!” Sarah felt a rumble. The engines roared to life. She had just secured her seatbelt, when she felt the train lurch forward. At first, it started out at a somewhat normal clip. But less than a minute later, the train reached full speed. Sarah kept her hands folded tightly on the glistening table. The digital screen on the far wall turned on. It showed the live feed from a camera at the front of the train. The track stretched on in what appeared to be an endless tunnel ahead of them. The girls stared at the screen, watching the track vanish in the blink of an eye under the front of the train. As Sarah looked harder at the screen, she noticed something quite alarming. It seemed like the track ahead of them…DISAPPEARED! Before she could even react, Kurl’s voice came on again over the loudspeaker. “Prince and I chatted. Apparently there are a few different tracks we can take. He calls the first track, Easy Breezy.” Kurl snorted. “That sounded lame. So I chose the second track.” Kurl was silent for a beat. The girls could hear the boys laughing hysterically. Elly’s eyes opened wide. “What’s the second track called?” she yelled.Sarah noticed Elly’s hands clawing into her chair’s arm rests. Kurl’s voice came over the speaker. “Your seatbelts better be fastened, ladies. We’re headed for the Black Diamond!” Sarah clutched her seatbelt. Her eyes darted to the digital screen. As she watched, now terrified, she could see the track in front of the camera suddenly dipped downwards. Sarah and Elly looked at each other with alarm. They felt the train slide over the edge of the track. The girls screamed as they plummeted into a freefall.
