Cliff’s POV
I took a small sip at my coffee, barely making me awake.
This paper work is suppose to be done by Bonita,
But I wouldn’t want her to stay at work for many hours more.
I type in the last of the files and save the document, shutting my laptop close before rubbing my temple.
I stand up and take my bag before proceeding outside. All this is going to pay off by the end of the month.

“Good evening Sir” One of the maids spoke, She took off my coat and helped me carry my briefcase.
I simply nodded before entering to the wine room and brought out the red wine from the cabinet.
Another maid appeared and prepared my wine for me, puring the liquid halfway to the goblet.
“So how was work?” Nanny appeared at the door, her apron had little stains but she looked suituable enough.
I thanked the maid as she gave me my glass, I took a small sip before placing it gently at the table,
“Stressful, Hope everything goes alright by the end of the month” I coughed, running a hand through my messy hair,
She clicked her tongue, disapproving at my thoughts.
“Now Now, no need to be negative. Are you hungry? Shall I cook something for you?”
I smiled, warmed by her care for me, If my mom is not around, she’s always the one to be her replacement for awhile.
“Something light, since it’s past 10 I could really eat something” She nodded her head before taking out the pan.
I checked for my phone to see if Bonita left any messages for me, Seeing nothing on my inbox I tucked it back inside my pocket and decided to have a conversation with Nanny.
I opened my mouth to speak but she cut me off before i could mutter a word.
“Your father called, Looking for you. But I told him you weren’t home yet so he told me he’ll call later” Nanny said while placing the chicken in the pan.
“And when was that Exactly?”
“What could he possibly need after punching me. Another rematch?” I scoffed, noting every bruise on my face.
“I sure hope not. I don’t want you two fighting again, Otherwise I’ll tell your mother” Nanny warned, the chicken sizzled in the pan as she added some vegetables in it.
“But what could he possibly want?” I asked her, but she shrugged before turning off the stove and placing the dish on a plate.
As she placed the food infront of me, the telephone rung, she quickly muttered her excuse and picked up the phone.
“Good evening Sir. Yes, Mr. Davidson is here”
Father
Nanny pulled the phone away before gesturing to me.
“It’s for you” She whispered, but loud enough for me to hear. I stood up and took the phone from her hand.
“What do you want?” I demanded, I hear his voice crack in laughter in the other line.
“You better respect me son or you’ll never see your girlfriend again.”
My eyes widened, The blood in my body dropped cold, My grip on the phone tightened.
Nanny took notice of this and she furrowed her eyebrows at me.
“What’s wrong?” She mouthed at me, I was about to speak when my father interrupted me.
“What’s wrong son? Shocked? Scared? Or maybe even terrified of your father?”
“You son of a-”
“Don’t you dare.Or I’ll deal with this girlfriend of yours with violence” I gritted my teeth, hardening my grip on the phone.
“Don’t try and come to me. You know what I can do.”
“What do you need? What the fuck do you want from me?”
“It’s always simple. Break up with her and I’ll provide a girl who’s more wealthy, and has a higher standard than this woman”
“Fuck you Father”
“Tsk Tsk Tsk, wrong choice of words son. Now your girl’s gonna get it”
The line went dead, a sign that the call ended. Nanny took the phone from me before I had the chance to crumple it in my hand.
“I take this as an emergency” She took off to the basement, running back to me with a gun on her hand.
“Now go and save your girl before it’s too late.”

Bonita’s POV
My eyes fluttered open, only to find myself being carried on the shoulder of a man,
I slowly lifted my head, careful for him not to notice that I was awake. Or else he’ll knock me out again.
I squinted my eyes to see that we were in a hallway.
I let my arms swing freely as I take in my surroundings, finding anything useful as a weapon. But then I remember the knife in my back pocket, It would be too risky to grab it now.
I stiffened, seeing a vase close by, I slowly grabbed it, careful enough.
I swung it at the man’s head, he groaned and struggled to hold me until he fell to the ground. I took off and ran, hearing the man running to chase me.
“Bonita don’t run!”
It was Charles. But I ignored him, I turned left, then right, and over and over until I confused Charles so he couldn’t catch up on me anymore.
I stopped to take a breathe, struggling to breathe and to keep my eyes open, the drug still in effect.
I slap myself to keep me awake. Sleeping isn’t the right time now, I force my feet in little steps, until the familiar light in the sky shines in my face.
The door. The outside sky, I could make it. I have to make it. My lower lip quivered from the cold foggy air as I ran with trembling feet.
The door, inches away. I smiled as it came closer, Closer to freedom and away from my certain death.
My head pounded against the wall, making my head spin. Hands pinned my arms behind me, His back pressing against mine as my chest pressed against the wall.
I screamed and shrieked, pushing my locked arms away from his. But they were muscular and lean that my strength compared to his was impenetrable.
“Stop making this hard Bonita” He said through gritted teeth, Tears filled my vision until it blurred, Sobs came from me, filling the quiet halls,
He flipped me over, giving me a full vision of his face. Dark hair, hazel eyes, full lips, and a sharp jawline.
His eyes bore into mine, his eyes pools of hazel as i tried my best not to drown at its alluring shade.
And just as he thought I had enough of running, I grabbed a fistful of his hair and slammed his face to the wall, I ran but he grabbed a hold of my leg, causing me to fall to the floor.
He flipped me over and plunged a needle to my arm, I kicked him in the face, causing him to fall backwards,
I quickly ran again, struggling to keep my steps as properly as possible, but then my body felt heavy and my eyes started to drop,
He drugged me.
Not again
My steps seemed to slow down, my arms falling weakly to my side,
“You can’t run when I’ve drugged you, Bonita” Charles’ voice echoed behind me,
He took hold of my arm and turned me over to him, my eyes dropped continuously but I try to keep them open as possible.
His face softened as he put both hands on my shoulders, I scowled at him.
“You’ll never keep me here” My voice sounded drunk and sluggish, He laughed as he heard me speak.
“I’m trying to be nice to you, I won’t hurt you, I promise” His voice reassuring and gentle. I had no other choice but to nod as I let my face bob to my side.
“You promise…” I muttered, he chuckled under his breathe before he lets my face rest to his hard chest.
“I promise…” He muttered before my eyes closed shut and I drifted off to darkness,
