Chapter 67

When Sarah looked closer, she realized that the girl standing in front of her wasn’t Elly.To Sarah’s absolute shock, the mysterious girl SHOVED right by her and threw herself into Bent’s arms. “Beeeentley!!!! Did you miiiiiiiisssss me????” Then to Sarah’s even BIGGER shock, ANOTHER girl appeared right beside her. She, too, completely ignored Sarah and flung herself at Bent.”Ladies!” Bent said, laughing awkwardly. He tried to hold both of the girls in his arms at the same time. The two girls seemed to fight each other for Bent’s attention. The girl who Sarah had thought was Elly touched Bent’s chocolate curls. She gave Sarah a half-hearted glance. “Wow, Bent Prince. You sure get it on with lots of girls.” She now stared pointedly at Sarah. “Though, she doesn’t look like a model.” Sarah was taken aback by the harsh blow. The blonde girl and her gorgeous brunette model friend both burst out laughing. They continued to fondle Bent’s hair and run their hands over his hard chest muscles. “Come oooooon, Bent. PLAY with us!!!!” the blonde girl purred. “You know you want to.” The models gave each other an air five. Their skin-tight dresses looked like they’d stepped off a plane from a Miami Beach photoshoot. Without waiting for his answer, the blonde girl pushed Bent somewhat roughly through his front door, back into the dark foyer. Before the brunette beauty followed the blonde, she turned her sizzling snake eyes to Sarah. “It’s so sweet he spends time with you.” She flipped her glossy hair. “But Bent Prince isn’t into serious relationships. So don’t think you’re the only girl he sees. Bye now!”The model did a catwalk turn away from Sarah, and disappeared into the house. The automatic double front doors slid shut with a seemingly final slam. Sarah was left standing all alone and utterly horrified on the front steps. Did that just happen? No, it couldn’t have. Bent was nice. He was a nice guy. He’d been so kind to her. And had acted like such a gentleman. This wasn’t the same guy! IT COULDN’T BE!!!!Sarah fought down the explosion of tears that welled up in the back of her throat. No way she would cry outside his house. Not with those two WONDER TWINS inside doing who knows what with the boy with the beautiful name right now! In a zombie-like trance, Sarah managed to pry her keys from her back pocket. Somehow, she unlocked her Jeep and drove home. But when she reached her house, she couldn’t remember the drive at all. Never had she ever felt so angry in her entire life. She wondered about Elly now. She’d naively assumed Elly and Bent’s relationship was exclusive. Obviously Bent had other thoughts. He must have told Elly upfront that he wasn’t into serious relationships. That model had pretty much stated that fact. So apparently, the boy with the beautiful name could see all the girls he wanted, with no strings attached! Sarah sat frozen in her driveway. She could see Erin’s Volkswagen Beetle parked on the side of the street. Crap, she thought. She was in no mood now to hang out. When she checked her phone, she saw Erin had texted that she was in Sarah’s room with a pizza box. Sarah’s eyes then spotted a message from Kurl. He was checking in again about meeting up at 8pm that night. Sarah took a deep breath. Well, now that I know where Bent Prince stands on relationships, I can do whatever I want. From now on, he means nothing to me!!!!!!!Sarah hopped out of her Jeep and slammed the car door a bit harder than she’d intended. But she really didn’t care. She was heartbroken but she would NOT admit that to herself. The pain would quietly simmer in the darkest places of her soul. But she would beat it down. She would not be sad about Bent. She would NOT! Let him have his fun. Let him be a player. Let him date and hook up with lots of eager, pretty girls. She wouldn’t be one of them. He could bet his LIFE on that!
