Sarah decided it was probably just her imagination. Sports cars couldn’t laugh. “I didn’t help you,” Bad Boy’s electronic voice said. “I merely refrained from disclosing your precise location. Had Mr. Prince enquired about your whereabouts, I would have confessed.”WOW! This car could REALLY talk a lot! Sarah thumped it on its side. “You would NOT! You’re too cool to rat me out!” The sports car didn’t respond. But she could definitely hear its machinery spinning around now, as if it was getting agitated. “Do you like me?” she asked it curiously. For some reason, it took Bad Boy a very long time to respond to her question. She could hear a flurry of different sounds now, from buzzing to clanking to clicking inside its engine. It seemed her question had forced the sports car to think outside its normal range of technology. “Yes,” the sports car finally said. Sarah screamed in delight, jumping up and down. “Bad Boy, you’re the greatest,” she said. She threw her arms around its metal side and kissed it. When the sports car realized what she’d done, it went berserk. Its car alarm went off, forcing Sarah to cover her ears. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!Its metal body began to shudder and shake. To Sarah’s astonishment, the sports car zoomed backwards and then TOOK OFF at what looked like a million miles an hour. It sped in a blur of mindless circles around the driveway’s large water fountain. Sarah stared in complete shock, watching the car zoom around and around in a circle, honking like crazy. Bent burst out of his front door. “WHAT’S GOING ON OUT HERE?” he yelled angrily. His eyes bulged in alarm when he saw his car speeding in a frenzy around the circular driveway. “HOOOOLY CRAAAAP!” he hollered. He turned his fierce blazing eyes on Sarah. “What did you do to my car?” Sarah blinked rapidly back at him, blushing. “I…uh…I may have kissed him,” she said meekly. Bent’s fury vanished. He looked confused. “You kissed my car?” Sarah sighed. “I’m sorry. I did it without really thinking.” Bent started to laugh. Then he laughed even harder. He bent down, placing his hands on his knees. When he finally looked back up at Sarah, he had tears. “Thanks for that. You turned my awesome car into a friggin’ looney tune,” Bent said, wiping his eyes. He chuckled softly as he walked over to where his sports car continued its beeping loop of madness around the driveway. Bent raised his arms up high in the air like a general commanding an army. “BAD BOY! BE STILL!” he ordered. The sports car immediately slid to a deafening, screeching stop. Smoke rose from its tires, where the rubber burned against the pavement. Bent spun back around to face Sarah. His expression had become stony again. But she could see a faint trace of humor still twinkling in his eyes.”Come inside, Sarah. We’ll have dinner,” he said simply. Hi, everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying this story. I know I am.
