“These days by your side have taught me that truthfully there is no determined time to start loving someone. I feel something so profound that there is no explanation; There is no reason or logic in my heart.
Come into my life; I open the door for you. I know that there will not be any more lonely nights in your arms. Come into my life; I am begging you. First, I started missing you. But then, I began needing you.
Good night; Nice to meet you. There is no one else anymore. You talked to me; You touched me and you became my illusion. After this time together, I can’t go back. I want you to be the owner of my heart.”
“Jolene…” I said in a pleading tone. I brushed my hand from her right knee to her inner tight, keeping my other hand on her waist.
“Lancelot… stop,” she whispered with a shaky breathless voice.
“Please…I am begging you.” I moved my hand up her inner tight and she gripped my arms and tried to pull away again. I had no idea this would be so difficult. Each day, I am more desperate to feel her.
Jolene put her hand on my cheek and smiled sadly. Then, she shook her head no. The sad expression on her face made me realize how difficult I was making things for her.
I let go of her and took a step back. “Have you always felt this for me?”
“This need… Yes.” She slid off the desk and fixed her clothes and her hair.
“I am sorry.” I went to my seat and rested my forehead down against my forearms. Gosh, I know I promised to be patient but not being able to mate with her when she is this close is just pure torture. If she was not my teacher I would be all over her at any possible minute of the day.
I heard Jolene exhale loudly and in a second I could no longer feel any smell coming from her.
“How did you do that?” I asked her. I knew werewolves could hide their own scent but not other’s wolves scents.
Jolene smiled warmly and walked up to me. She sat on the seat in front of me. “Do you know how to hide your own scent?”
I nodded and her smile widened.
“Focus as if you were desperately trying to hide your own smell and everything on you. Try to imagine that you are invisible and impossible to detect.”
I closed my eyes and followed her instructions.
“Almost there. Breathe in and breathe out. Remember, you do not want anyone to notice you. It is a life or death situation.”
When I took in a breath after that, the air was different. I could no longer feel any of our scents coming from me. Jolene smiled. She looked so proud of me. I grinned.
“I knew you would learn this fast. It took my retarded brother a full month to master it,” she said as she ruffled my hair. She walked away and unlocked the door.
“I did not know it was possible to do that,” I said.
“I had to learn to do this in an extreme situation while I was out on the field dealing with informants. I will tell you the whole story later if you want to.”

I mindlinked Samuel and soon he and Matt walked through the door. “You owe me a big one,” Samuel said as he sat down. After ten minutes, the rest of our classmates walked in. “Sorry, Ms. Amores. Someone told us that there was a problem with this classroom and that the class had been moved to another building,” said the boy who was glaring at Samuel.
“Yes, to the fourth floor of the building with no elevator,” whispered a girl as she walked to her seat.
Samuel rolled his eyes. This better have been the best sex of your life, Samuel mindlinked me. I sighed and banged my head against my desk. We did not do it. We have not even kissed yet. Samuel gasped and Matt laughed.
“The class already started, if you have not noticed,” said Jolene.
The three of us pulled out our notebooks and began writing down equations from the board. However, Samuel felt the need to mindlink me again.
‘What do you two do whenever you are alone? Hug and talk about your feelings? I thought I would never live up to the day I would see a whipped Lancelot Allen King,’ Samuel said.
I slammed one hand on my desk. ‘If I am that is none of your business.’
‘So, Bull’s eye…’ said Matt. Both Samuel and Matt cracked up.
“You three again?” asked Jolene.
I looked up at her. She was standing there with a fake frown and her arms crossed. She is fighting a smile. The left corner of her lips twitched slightly like every time she tries to act mad at me. I put my elbows on my desk and looked at her with a wide smile.
Samuel smirked. “Jolene. C’mon. You are like the only cool teacher in this school. We were just chatting a little.”
“You can mindlink each other as much as you want to today in lunch detention,” Jolene said.
Samuel’s smile disappeared and our classmates snickered. They must still be annoyed.
“The next one who laughs will join my three favorite detention students. This is a Math class not a stand-up comedy show.”
Now everyone was covering their mouths trying to not to laugh.
Jolene sighed. “I recognize your effort. Just my three chatty friends are having detention today.”
“But Jolene-” said Samuel.
“Call me Jolene and not Ms. Amores one more time and you will have a full week of after-school detention.”
Silence seemed like the best option now.

After class, we stayed behind to talk to her. Samuel was angry and Matt… I could no longer guess what he felt. I took a step closer to her.
“Jolene…” I said.
“Lancelot… I will be in charge of your detention.”
“Really?” I said in a more excited tone than I intended.
Jolene giggled and Matt and Samuel laughed. I coughed and cleared my throat.
“And I am also doing this to help my allies.” She winked at my friends.
“Allies?” I asked.
“Inside joke, sorry.” She stuck out her tongue at me and I rolled my eyes. I’ll just leave them have this.
Matt and Samuel left the classroom, probably guessing that I detention was happening whether they liked it. I caressed Jolene’s hand before following them.
“Thank you,” I said as I reached to the door.
“For the detention?”
I turned my head back and narrowed my eyes at her trying to look angry. “Yes.” She laughed and blew me a kiss. “Go to your next class. Run.”
“Looking forward to detention.” I left the classroom chuckling slightly. However, I forced myself to frown as soon as I noticed all the people in the hallway.

When lunch finally arrived, the three of us went to Jolene’s classroom. I made sure that the door was closed after we walked in.
“Hello!” said Jolene. Her delightful voice always stirs something in me I could not explain. I kissed her cheek before walking to my seat.
“So, what are we doing?” asked Samuel as he sat down.
“You will be working on some extra problems. You need it if you want to pass this class. Matt has to memorize some stuff.”
Samuel stared at her but did not utter a single word. He does that when he wants to argue but knows he already lost the argument.
Jolene gave Matt a book with some bookmarked pages and he smiled joyfully at her. I had never seen him that happy before. This is beginning to annoy me more than it should.
Jolene locked eyes with me and winked. I grinned stupidly. I know I could not see my smile, but that is how it felt. She then gave Samuel a worksheet and explained what he had to do.
After I spend about of twenty minutes of staring at her gorgeous face and listening to her perfect, sweet, melodic, angelical–
“Lancelot?” Jolene said.
“Yes…?”
“Is everything alright?”
“Yes, why?”
Jolene shook her head and smiled. She is so precious. She went back to explaining even the simplest things to Samuel. After she was done she told him to ask her anything he did not understand and walked toward me.
I mindlinked him. Don’t you dare interrupt us. I will tutor you later.
“Come sit at the front so we can talk,” Jolene said.
We sat down facing each other. For a while, we just gazed into each other’s eyes. However, curiosity got the best of me. “What did you give Matt to memorize?” I asked.
“I gave him a book about self-defense techniques which I personally annotated. There are so many things I want to teach him that I just do not have time. You should come to one of our training sessions. He is such a dedicated protégé. I am so proud of him and his sister. They are so brilliant–”
“Okay. That it is enough. I understand,” I said coldly.
She frowned and tried to reach for my hand but I pulled it away. She leaned to me and grabbed my hand forcefully. “You are not getting away so easily.”
I wanted to retort but as she rubbed and kissed the back of my hand every desire to argue dissipated. I smiled and ran a hand through her hair and kissed her forehead. This is one of the things only I can do.
Her beautiful lips curled up in that sweet smile of hers. I kissed her right cheek and then the left one. “I love you, Jolene.”
Samuel began clapping. “So beautiful. I am so touched.” He wiped off an imaginary tear.
“Why do you have to always spoil the mood?” I asked him.
“It is fun?” he said. ‘It is for Matt,’ he mindlinked me.
Matt looked downcast. His hands curled into fists, and I could hear his ragged breathing. I was not sure if I wanted to confront him or comfort him. I decided to take the high road and stay quiet.
‘Samuel, she is my mate, not his.’
‘I know, and I fully support you; But, I do not want to see any of my friends in pain.’
I let out a heavy breath. Just what our relationship needed, more drama. “Are we still meeting later?” I asked Jolene.
“Yes, we need to talk about something important.”
I tensed up. Did I do something wrong? Is she going to ask me to stay away from her? I can control myself. I just want to spend more time with her. Lately, I have felt increasingly incomplete whenever she is not around.
“Is this about what happened this morning?”
“Later, Lancelot.”
The bell rang and lunch was over. Jolene stood up; Her lips twitched and I knew she wanted to smile.
“You are enjoying this, aren’t you?” I asked her as I stood up.
She embraced me in a warm hug. Nothing makes me happier than feeling her small frame between my arms.
‘Well, I know of a couple of things you would enjoy doing to her,’ my wolf said.
‘I have enough dirty thoughts without your help. Thank you.’
“I love you,” she whispered and kissed my cheek.
She walked down to where Matt was and I felt a growl in the back of my throat.
“Why are you upset? Is it about the girl you told me about?” she asked.
I narrowed my eyes at him and crossed my arms. “Yes, Matt. Is it about a girl?”
He gulped and looked down. “It is nothing.”
She patted his back. “Everything will be fine.”
He took a deep breath and smiled at her. “Thank you, Jolene.”
I got my things and the three of us left the classroom. Samuel was between Matt and I. I know he does not want his two best friends to fight, but I am unsure what to do now.
