— Sal’s POV —
Mason pulled away from the kiss and covered me protectively and growled. “Mason, calm down.” I said to him softly. He stopped growling and looked at me softly and then a wolf appeared. It looked liked a beta with black and brown coloured fur and then another wolf appeared but this time the wolf was smaller and had brown and cream fur. The large wolf shifted behind a tree and then a hot guy came out. I blushed cause he was only wearing basketball shorts. Mason growled and looked at me and said, “That blush should only be for me sweet cheeks.” I blushed even harder and hid my face with a curtain of my hair.13
I heard a chuckle and then a voice said, “Well, well, well. Looks like the disgraceful Delta found his mate.” I looked up and asked Mason, “Mason who’s that?” The guy smirked and said, “The name’s Brad. Beta of the Silver Angel pack and the girl shifting right now,” I heard the sound of cracking bones and out came a girl with brown hair and cream at the bottom, “is my mate Maggie Jones.” Brad laughed hysterically and said through laughs, “You *haha* should have *haha* seen the look *hahaha* on your face.”12
Mason continued to growl and said, “Brad! You made me thought you were a rouge or something! God you are so lucky I smelt your scent.” He continued to growl but then chuckled.
I stepped out of Mason’s embrace to go and shake hands with the Beta, “Evening Beta. My name is Sally Williams. I think you remember my brother Kevin?” He grinned and said to me, “Shut up! He’s here? Where is he?” I just chuckled and said, “You can meet him tomorrow.” He nodded and then smirked at Mason and said, “And you said you didn’t want a mate Mason. You said you wanted to continue playing with other girls.” I froze when I heard that. I wondered why Brad called Mason a disgraceful Delta. Well now I know and there is no way in HELL is he ever gonna accept me as his mate.11
“I have to go. Bye guys.” I quickly shifted mid air ignoring Mason when he called my name. After a few minutes I heard the sound of thundering paws behind me took a quick look. My eyes widened when I saw a dark brown wolf with black paws. I knew right then and there it was Mason. I was the fastest among my family except Lilian. I ran with lightning speed. Soon there was no sound of paws behind me. The only sound I heard was a howl. A heartbroken howl. I felt tears pouring out of my eyes and quickly tried to stop them.39
Lilian’s house soon came into view and what I saw on the front porch almost made me barf. I covered my eyes with my paws and whimpered loudly. Do you know what I saw? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE HELL I SAW?!
I SAW LILIAN HAVING A HOT MAKE OUT SESSION WITH HER DATE! Well this is an awkward position.
Lilian must’ve heard my whimper and said, “OH MY GOD! SALLY?!” I just nodded still covering my eyes.+
She asked me, “Sally, do you have any clothes?” I shook my head refusing to look at her. I heard her go in the house and heard her dump some clothes in front of me. I quickly took them without looking at her and changed into the t-shirt and sweatpants.
When I came out, I covered my eyes and said what I have been wanting to say when I saw her making out. “My eyes! My poor virgin eyes!! Aw man! Lilian! I can’t even look at you without seeing that dip thong shove his tongue down your throat.”27
I heard a growl and a nervous chuckle and then, “Sal! WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN? I WAS WORRIED SICK! I AM GONNA-” said Kevin but was cut short when I suddenly remembered what happened and burst into tears and sobs. Kevin stopped and came to me and said kindly, “Hey hey hey. Sal come on. Please don’t cry. I was just upset.” I shook my head and said to him between sobs, “I’m *sniff* not *sniff* mad *sniff* at you.”
He asked, “Then what’s wrong sweetheart?” I cried even more when he said sweetheart. I stopped crying and said while sniffing, “I don’t want to talk about it.” After that I just went to the room Lilian showed me before and decided to crash. My dreams were haunted by dark brown eyes.
— Lilian’s POV —6
When we reached our destination, Abbott put a blindfold on me.I asked him with a whiny voice, “Are you serious Abbott?” He chuckled and said, “Yes I am and no peeking love.”32
I just huffed while he chuckled some more. He got out of the car and opened my door like a gentleman and put his arm around my waist and said, “Don’t worry. I’ll be your guide.” I just laughed when he said that. I felt him roll his eyes and then we walked. I smelt trees and lakes. I knew we were in the woods. We were walking for what must be about 15 minutes. If I had worn heels, I would have gone insane. Then Abbott said, “How about we play I spy?” I almost laughed but decided to play along and said, “OK…. I spy…. nothing.” He sounded confused and said, “How can you see noth-Oh right. You’re wearing a blindfold.” I snorted and said to him, “I like you now, Abbott. You are so smart.” He growled in a annoyance and then there was silence.33
After a while, we stopped and then Abbott took the blind fold off, hugged me from the back and put his head in the crook of my neck and asked, “Do you like it?”1
What I saw shocked me. There was a lake of course, but there was something else. There was a gazebo with fairy lights around it and had my favourite flowers around it. Lavender.11
Abbott must’ve grew impatient. He asked me, “Well?” I said, pretending I was not impressed at all, “I don’t like it.”5
Abbott turned me around his eyes turning black and said angrily, “What?! Why? How is this possible?! I put on much effort to do this and-“
I started smirking and said to him, “No, I’m kidding Abbott. I love it so much. Thank You.” I don’t think he heard me because he kept talking. I rolled my eyes cause I had no choice but to do this. I put my hands around his neck and kissed him just to get him to shut up.12
At first he froze but then he kissed me back. I knew if we didn’t stop it right now, we would do it on the ground right here right now. When I pulled away, he pouted and said, “You did that on purpose.”
I chuckled and said, “Yes, because you didn’t listen to what I just said.” He asked me, “What did you say?” I replied, “I said I love it Abbott. Thank You. Next time let me finish first. OK?”
He grinned at me and said, “So was I right that this is the best date you ever had?”
“No.” I replied. He showed an surprised look, and I continued to speak, “No. Because it’s the only date I have ever had.” Judging by his expression, he couldn’t believe what he just heard.
“Your first date? I thought you dated before.” I shook my head and said, “I wanted to have my first date and kiss with my mate. Which I did.” I blushed when I said all that. His grin got bigger and said, “Thank god. I though I had to compete with the other guys dates.” He growled when he said other guys. I gave him a peck on the lips and asked, “Shall we?” He chuckled and said, “We shall.” We laughed all through the night. Then he did something unexpected. He had a remote in his hand and I asked him jokingly, “Do you have a bomb here or something? Cause if not, then what’s with the remote?”34
He chuckled and said, “It’s to play the music Lilian. So we can dance.” I froze in my spot and said in a quiet voice, “Dance? I can’t dance Abbott. Sorry.”14
He said, “I’ll teach. Come on it’ll be easy.”
After the whole song, I gave Abbott a quick peck and said, “This date was the best. But I have to go home.” He nodded sadly. When we reached the car and he drove me home.22
When we reached my front door, Abbott held my waist in place and pulled me in for a hug. He looked at me in the eyes and asked me, “Does this mean I’m off probation?” I bit my lip and smiled at him and said, “Yeah,it does”.97
He had the biggest smile on his face and kissed me. The kiss soon became passionate and when he licked my bottom lip for entry I allowed him. The kiss started to get really hot when I heard a whimper. I pulled away from Abbott and saw a small wolf with white tips at the tail with paws covering its eyes. I soon recognized the wolf’s scent and said, “OH MY GOD! Sally?!” She just nodded still covering her eyes.5
After giving her clothes and her going up to the house, Kevin looked at me and asked, “What happened to her?” I shrugged and said,
“I wished I knew Kevin. I wished I knew.”
